Organize Our Wedding

Wedding Day Do's and Don'ts

  1. Don't stress over the minor issues, delegate anything that seems out of whack to a bridesmaid or an usher. Your big day shouldn't be bogged down with details.

  2. Do ensure that you acknowledge your bridal party attendants at the reception for their help and patience leading up to and on the day of your wedding. They will feel appreciated and it will help guests to know who to pass their thanks on to as well.

  3. Don't spend the entire reception surrounded by only your closest friends, be sure to make an effort to visit with everyone who attends and thank them for coming to share your special day.
  4. Do take the time to enjoy more than just the traditional first dance with your new spouse. This is your wedding day and you'll want to create last memories.

  5. Don't limit your music choices to just the stuff you and your fiance like to listen to. Your guests will want to enjoy a variety of different selections as generally those in attendance will span many generations.

  6. Do bring a change of foot wear so that your feet will not be throbbing by the end of the night. The only thing worse than a drunk bride is the one who sits in one spot because her feet hurt too much from her shoes.

  7. Don't drink a lot of alcohol at the reception. Limit yourself to a glass of wine or champagne for toasting at dinner. Instead, drink plenty of water * it will make you feel and look good. Nobody likes a sloppy bride.

  8. Do get something to eat. Have your caterer prepare a plate for you and your husband to enjoy between the ceremony and the reception away from everyone. This frees you up to mingle with your guests at the reception. Stay away from spicy foods or rich, heavy desserts.
